Polyethylene Compound for Pipe

Cross-linkable Polyethylene Compound for Heating Pipes (PEX)

PEX14 and PEX24 are silane-grafted, moisture cross-linkable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) systems, produced through a two-step Sioplas technology. These compounds offer significant advantages over regular polyethylene, particularly in heat resistance.

Benefits of PEX14 and PEX24:

  • Excellent Heat Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 90°C.
  • Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR): Exceptional resistance to environmental stress cracking.
  • High Durability: Superior resistance to scratches, abrasion, and chemical reactions.
  • Mechanical Strength: Good resistance to rapid propagation of tension and excellent creep resistance at 95°C.

PEX pipes made from PEX 14 and PEX 15 provide significant benefits and efficiencies over traditional cross-linking processes such as organic peroxide, radiation, and reactor copolymer methods.
